Growing up in the beautiful foothills of Colorado, I was surrounded by animals and nature. From an early age I knew I wanted to make a career out of working with animals. It all started with my first dog love, Tag. From taking her on long hikes in the forest and swimming in the rivers to teaching her to catch a ball off her nose, she was my first inspiration. I studied to be a Certified Veterinary Technician and had the privilege of participating in a six month long externship at Colorado State's Veterinary Teaching Hospital as part of my studies. After graduating in 2001 I worked in small animal medicine at several great hospitals in the area. In clinical work I would always strive to make animals feel as safe and comfortable as possible. Behavior has always intrigued me, so thirsty for more knowledge I pursued an undergraduate degree in Psychology with an emphasis in learning and behavior. That hunger for knowledge continued so I took masters level courses in Companion Animal Behavior Counseling from the American College of Applied Science and I obtained my masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University.

I have several other areas of interest and specialties including being an Absolute Dogs Pro Dog Trainer (games based training), a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer and FitPAWS Master Trainer, a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer through Malena DeMartini’s exclusive program, and a Fear Free level 3 certified professional.

I strive to help animals and their caregivers alike in building the types of relationships that fulfill everyone’s needs. I am dedicated to research and scientifically based methods for behavior change. I take pride in providing animals and their caretakers the knowledge and skills they need to strengthen and nurture the human animal bond. I will continue to learn and bring the highest level of professionalism and service to each and every one of my clients.
